Ideation Techniques for Solving Entrepreneurial Problems

On 25.09.2024, a session on "Ideation Techniques for Solving Entrepreneurial Problems" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Information Technology. The session was handled by Mrs. M. Thanalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli, from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM. A total of 55 Students and two faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mr. F. Richard Singh Samuel, AP/IT. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with a welcome address and the introduction of the guest speaker. In the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship, the ability to generate innovative ideas is crucial for overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities. The speaker emphasized the significance of effective ideation techniques as a means to tackle entrepreneurial problems. She said the ideation is the process of generating and developing new ideas. She said that this process is not merely about brainstorming but involves structured methodologies that can lead to actionable solutions. She gave some Key Ideation Techniques such as: Brainstorming Sessions, Mind Mapping, Design Thinking and Reverse Thinking.

In the conclusion, the speaker highlighted the ideation techniques which offers entrepreneurs the valuable tools for addressing challenges in their ventures. By employing structured methods like brainstorming, mind mapping, and design thinking, the entrepreneurs can unlock their creativity and develop effective solutions. Ultimately, the ability to ideate effectively not only enhances problem-solving skills but also paves the way for sustainable growth and innovation in the entrepreneurial journey.
