Igniting the Drive to Start and Achieve Success in Business

On 10th November 2023, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Civil Engineering organized an Expert Talk on “Igniting the Drive to Start and Achieve Success in Business”. The resource person for the program was Er.Antony Clinton, Proprietor, Anon Interiors, Tirunelveli. 52 first and second year Civil Engineering students and 1 staff member attended the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs. P. Raja Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of civil engineering, FXEC.

The resource person stated that how an entrepreneur can uplift the society and uplift himself. Also, he said that innovation plays a vital role as the entrepreneur must know how to relate business with the innovative ideas. He also explained how an engineer should prepare himself to become a business man. The resource person explained the need for networking and mentorship in the present scenario and highlighted the emerging opportunities in the business by giving lot of practical examples. He also shared the path way to achieve the key parameters of business through problem statement, ideate, prototype and test through number of practical examples. The resource person also summarizes the ten action phases to build a business plan. The students asked many questions and it was answered by the resource person.
