Inaugration of MSME - Business Incubator

In a great move to foster a collaborative environment where startups can connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, industry experts, and professionals, encouraging knowledge-sharing, partnerships, and synergies, with the initiative of Ministry of MSME, Government of India, a new building dedicated to the MSME Business Incubator was inaugurated at Francis Xavier Engineering College on July 03, 2023.

Shri. Suresh Babuji, Joint Director & Head of Office, Chennai DFO, MSME, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest and officially marked the opening of the new building. Shri Simiyon, Assistant Director & Head of Office, Tirunelveli DFO, in his address applauded the institution for its remarkable achievements in innovation and startup activities, placing it on par with prestigious institutions like IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). Smt. Jerina Bubby, Assistant Director, Tirunelveli DFO in her address extended her appreciation to the institution for its unwavering dedication to innovation and startup activities to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among its students and faculty. Smt. R. Uma Chandrika, Assistant Director, Madurai Region, Shri P. Jeyaselvam, Assistant Director, Madurai Region, Mr. Rahul, Project Lead, TN Startup and Innovation Mission, Govt. of Tamil Nadu graced the occasion. After the inaugural ceremony, a panel discussion on entrepreneurship, featuring successful entrepreneurs and industry experts, provided valuable insights and inspiration. With the establishment of the MSME Business Incubator, Francis Xavier Engineering College aims to nurture innovation and provide mentorship by fostering the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. Further, the inauguration marks a significant step in the college's mission to promote entrepreneurship and support the development of small-scale businesses in the region.
