Incubation Opportunities for the Engineering Students

On 22.07.2024 a talk on "Incubation Opportunities for the Engineering Students" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session was handled by Dr. Bency P Emmanuel, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 01.30 PM – 4.30 PM. 41 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha AP/EEE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College and welcomed the resource person also. Resource person explained the basics of incubation activities and the role of incubation in the development of startups like raising funds, legal and ethical aspects of startups. During the session, she gave a very informative insight to all the participants regarding the need to develop a right approach for setting up any startups. She emphasized upon the need to develop an entrepreneurial approach, necessary for the growth and success of any business and provided the platform to the students to ask questions which made the session highly interactive. She stressed upon the need to develop the appropriate attitude and skills which should be inculcated in any individual to become a successful entrepreneur. She said that one must have the desire to excel and the confidence in one self to achieve the dreams. The session was an interactive one and the motivation and encouragement given by the resource person to become a successful entrepreneur was appreciable one. The session was of great benefit to all the young minds who have attended the program and those who have some idea to develop startup or business. The participants asked various questions during the session.
