The industrial visit to Nova Carbons on August 30th, 2024 was a part of the practical exposure program aimed at providing students with real-world experience in the carbon manufacturing industry. Nova Carbons is renowned for its production of activated carbons and various carbon products used in filtration and purification industries. The visit was organized to help students understand the technical and operational aspects of a carbon production facility. The objective of the visit was to gain practical insights into the manufacturing processes, quality control, and management strategies employed by Nova Carbons. The participants were welcomed by Mr. Dhanabalan, HR, Nova Carbon. An introductory presentation about the company’s history, core products, and global presence was provided. The students were taken through the different sections of the manufacturing unit which included Raw Material Storage, Production Line, Quality Control and Packaging and Distribution. The visit was arranged and coordinated by Mrs D Annie Rose Nirmala, HOD/MBA & Mr P Selvakumar, AP/MBA.
