INNOVATION IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP: DRIVING CHANGE THROUGH CREATIVE SOLUTION

On 16.12.2024 a session on "Innovation in Entrepreneurship: Driving Change Through Creative Solution" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The Session was handled by Mrs.A.Anitha, Assistant Professor , Department of CSBS, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai , from 01.30 AM - 04.20 AM. 53 students and 1 faculty participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs.Freeda Jebamalar.S AP/CSBS. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address and introduced the guest speaker. The guest speaker started the speech by explaining about the innovation in entrepreneurship. Innovation serves as the backbone of entrepreneurship, enabling problem-solving, value creation, and societal progress. By addressing challenges with creative solutions, entrepreneurs achieve competitive advantages, economic growth, and social impact. For instance, technological disruptions like Airbnb and Uber have redefined industries, while sustainable startups like Tesla address environmental concerns. Social entrepreneurs, such as TOMS Shoes, integrate business with social good, and advancements in healthcare platforms like Teladoc enhance accessibility.

Fostering innovation requires encouraging risk-taking, promoting diverse collaboration, leveraging technology, and adopting design thinking. However, challenges such as resource constraints, resistance to change, and market uncertainties can impede progress. To overcome these, entrepreneurs should invest in research, engage with customers, and build ecosystems that support creativity. Innovation is indispensable for shaping the future. By embracing creativity and agility, entrepreneurs can drive meaningful change, benefiting both society and the economy. The participants raised number of question and clarified their doubts. The session was an interactive one and the participants gathered a lot of information about innovation and entrepreneurship.
