Innovations in teaching encompasses teachers reinventing their delivery methodologies by using several tools to make learning adaptive, inclusive & dynamic. Innovation in teaching is crucial to keep students engaged and to enhance their learning experience and to impart creative knowledge to the students. Role-play is effective teaching methods that can help students understand complex concepts and ideas in a fun and interactive way. Role-play can be an effective teaching method for JDBC, as it allows students to simulate real-world scenarios. On 17.04.2023, a role play on “Java DataBase Connectivity”, was made by students.
Student as a database administrator - In this scenario, one student played the role of a database administrator, and another played the role of a Java developer. Java developers used JDBC to connect to the database, execute queries, and retrieve data.
Student as a client - In this scenario, one student played the role of a client. The client provided a set of requirements for a database application, and the Java developer can use JDBC to build the application and demonstrated how it meets the client's requirements
Student as a data analyst - In this scenario, one student played the role of a data analyst. The data analyst provided a set of data, and the Java developer used JDBC to analyze the data, create reports, and visualize the results
Role-play is an effective teaching method that can be used to teach JDBC in a fun and interactive way. All the students actively participated in the innovation teaching learning process.
