Innovation: The Buzzword Among Engineers-A Discussion

On 14.11.2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department and IIC organized an “Innovation: The Buzzword among Engineers- A Discussion. The session was handled by Ms.S.Agnes Joshy, Assistant Professor, Department of IT, FXEC. The program was coordinated by Dr.L. Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department. 55 students and 1 staff member participated in the session.

The resource person explained the term innovation and the importance of innovation to sustain the business. The resource person highlighted the need to use the creativity and innovation especially among the engineering students. The speaker said that the engineering students must involve themselves in innovation. Moreover, the speaker explained the process of innovation with lot of examples from the real life. The resource person being the professor incharge of the pre-incubation centre, she explained the need for innovation for the development of a new product. The session was an interactive one where the students were participative and raised few questions which clarified their doubts.
