INNOVATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: BRIDGING BUSINESS AND ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS”

On 28.01.2025 a session on “Innovative Entrepreneurship for a Sustainable Future: Bridging Business and Environmental Solutions” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. This session was handled by Dr.P.S.Suja Ponmini , Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry , FXEC. Fifty four students from second year CSBS and 1 staff member participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Ms.P.Sornabala, Assistant Professor, Department of CSBS from 1.00PM to 4.00PM.

The program began with an introduction of the guest speaker. The resource person began the session by discussing how to integrate sustainability and entrepreneurship. She emphasized the "importance of sustainability in entrepreneurship". She also highlighted the sustainable entrepreneurship and its ability to address global challenges while promoting economic growth. The speaker shared insights into the entrepreneurial journey, discussing the various stages like Green Technology Startups, Corporate Social Responsibility, Research and Development and Government and Policy Making. Students get the insights into current market trends and future industry needs and opportunities to develop renewable energy solutions, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly products. The speaker discussed the idea of exploring innovative approaches to global challenges.

This program gave an insight, awareness and enthusiasm among the students to emulate the role of innovative entrepreneurship in achieving a sustainable future. Students were motivated to contribute to a greener, more sustainable world by combining creative business ideas with environmental awareness, while exploring the promising career opportunities in this emerging field.
