On 30.8.2022 the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with Entrepreneur Development cell and IIC organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "MENTORING SESSION FOR ASPIRING ENTREPRENEUR". A.Amala Manuela, Innovation Ambassador, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE was the resource person.
The resource person explained the importance of entrepreneurship and why the engineering students must opt entrepreneurship as the career option. She gave examples of successful entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu and India. The examples evoked a discussion among the participants and they shared lot of examples of entrepreneurs from their own areas. She stressed the engineering students to involve in developing innovative ideas and become the startup owners.
The speaker also gave the details regarding the government support for developing the startup. The information given by the speaker about the government financial assistance and the other support services provided for entrepreneurship development. He concluded with the 10 reasons why engineers must enter into Entrepreneurship. The students interacted with the guest speaker and gained lot of information about entrepreneurship. 50 students and 2 faculty members participated in the program.
