Mentoring Session on Project Development

On 16th April, 2024, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution Innovation Cell (IIC), in association with the Department of Civil Engineering, organized a “Mentoring session on Project Development”. The session took place at the Architecture and Design Applied laboratory from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Totally 15 batches of 54 final year Civil Engineering students presented their projects. The experts from Civil Engineering department evaluated the projects presented by the students. The program was coordinated by Mrs. P.Raja Priya, EDC Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Francis Xavier Engineering College Tirunelveli.

The students presented their projects in front of the expert members from civil engineering department. While presenting the projects, students were asked to highlight the technical features and other important points. Enthusiastically students presented their project ideas and defended their project proposal. The expert opinions were given to the presenters to educate the students about the importance of innovation, finally, suggestions were given by the expert members for further improvement. Also, expert members who were present appreciated some of the project development because those project works provide a solution to the current environmental problems, and useful for the sustainable development in the construction sectors. The students were also requested to upload their project ideas in YUKTHI portal and to convert their project into a product in future.
