Motivational talk by Student Entrepreneur

On 10th May 2023, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Civil Engineering organized a “Motivational talk by Student Entrepreneur”. The resource person for the program was Mr. Madesh, II year Civil, Founder of SMP Construction, V.M. Chatram, Tirunelveli. 45 civil engineering students from I and II year participated in the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs. P. Raja Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of civil engineering, FXEC.

The resource person being a student entrepreneur gave a note on his personal experiences and the hurdles he faced before starting his concern. He highlighted the entrepreneurial opportunities which are available to the civil engineering students. The resource person explained the skills which are required to manage the startups. While explaining the entrepreneurial skills he gave number of live examples which inspired the participants to gain more knowledge about the entrepreneurial skills and how to develop those skills required for managing the enterprise. He also motivated the students by displaying the photographs of his completed as well as work-in-progress projects. Participants interacted very freely with the guest speaker and gathered lot of information. The session gave lot of insights as well as motivated the students to think about the option of starting the startup. He said that one need not wait till the completion of the program rather it can be started at any time if one has the interest and desire to earn money.
