Motivational talk: Identifying Innovative areas in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for Product Development

On 27.09.2023 " Motivational talk: Identifying Innovative areas in Electrical and Electronics Engineering for Product Development " was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The session was handled by Mr. A. Ananth, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 01.30 PM - 04.30 PM. 41 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was coordinated by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha AP/EEE. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr.Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.

The program started with the welcome address by Mrs. M. Mary Sumitha, Assistant Professor, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, EDC Coordinator, Francis Xavier Engineering College. She introduced resource person Mr. A. Ananth, Assistant Professor FXEC. The guest speaker outlined the opportunities for Electrical and Electronics Engineering field for the development of the Innovative products. He explained the innovative areas for Electrical Engineers such as Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, Digital Transformation and IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, Automation and Robotics, 5G and beyond. He gave lot of live examples while explaining the innovative areas. He also explained the challenges and opportunities one has to face while taking initiative to develop innovative product. He also gave the list of business opportunities in E-Waste management, E-waste recycling, developing innovative methods & Technologies for processing new form of E-Waste etc. The participants interacted with the guest speaker and gathered lot of information.
