On February 28, 2023 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution Innovations Council in association with the Department of Computer Applications organized an expert talk on “Science for Global wellbeing” to commemorate the National Science Day from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. Mrs.D.Angeline Ranjithamani AP/HOD,MCA,FXEC was the resource person. 42 students from MCA department and 2 faculty members attended the program.
The resource person explained the importance of organizing this program on the National Science Day. She also highlighted the steps to be taken to promote the science and technology in the young minds especially among the engineering students. Speaker also gave the overview of the current trends in Science and Technology and how it benefits to the society especially well being of the people. She also spoke about the various achievements of Indian Scientists in the field of science and technology and how they have contributed to the development of our nation. She spoke about the various advancements in science and technology and how it has helped to improve the quality of life. She also highlighted the importance of research and innovation in order to make India a leader in science and technology. She highlighted the need for data-driven approaches to address global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and health disparities and the potential of using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve global well-being. The seminar was a great success and provided valuable insights about national science day. All the students were benefited by the seminar. The interaction between the students and the resource person was highly appreciated.
