Online Business Opportunity for Student Entrepreneurs

On 27.03.2023 Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of MBA organized a session on "Online Business Opportunity for Student Entrepreneurs. The session was handled by Mr.M.Esakkiraj, Assistant Professor, MCA, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 50 students from first year MBA and 1 faculty member of MBA department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mr. P. Selvakumar, EDC Coordinator, Assistant professor - MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 1.30PM - 4.05 PM.

The guest speaker explained the growing online opportunities in the current world especially for young students. He stated that the consumers are buying their needs through online especially during the pandemic period. The products purchased through online such as smartphones, electronics, daily necessities and groceries is increasing in the year 2022 notably.

He also emphasized the online business opportunities opened through Amazon, Meesso and Flipkart and many blogging opportunities. Creating a store in the webstores one can sell the products online and earn income even while they learn. The students having higher skills are developing the products needed by the users and there by they earn income out of it. There are number of online business opportunities through the value added agri- products. This will also help the student entrepreneurs who want to earn income by doing online business. The session was an eye opener and gave lot of insight to the participants. Moreover, they have received lot of business ideas for their business.
