Placement Awareness

On behalf of the MCA Department, and DAWN Association, an Alumni Event was organized for II MCA students. Mr. K.Sivaraj (2014 Batch Alumni), Data Analyst, Chennai delivered the ideas on “Placement Awareness”. Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD/MCA introduced the resource person. The resource person shared about the placement opportunities.

It was great to see so many alumni back on campus for the guest speech. The speaker was very engaging and shared some great ideas. He also had great advice for the students.

Here are some tips about the Placements :

1. Alumni shared his diverse career paths post-MCA, including roles in software development, data science, and IT consulting, etc.,
2. Alumni provided valuable insights into current industry trends, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with emerging technologies.
3. The discussion also focused on the importance of soft skills such as communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, in addition to technical expertise.
4. Alumni stressed the significance of sharpening these skills through internships, projects, and extracurricular activities during the MCA program.
5. He emphasized the importance of networking and building a professional brand through platforms like LinkedIn.
6. Alumni resource person provided valuable tips and strategies for placement preparation, including resume building, interview techniques, and tackling technical assessments.
7. They encouraged students to leverage resources such as mock interviews, coding practice platforms, and alumni referrals to enhance their chances of securing job opportunities.

Overall, it was a great event and the students appreciated the opportunity to interact with alumni and found the session highly informative and insightful.
