On 17.04.2024 a Guest Lecture on “Planning a Successful Startup Pitching” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Management Studies Department and IIC. The resource person was Dr.R.Prem Ananth, IIC Convenor, Assistant Professor/ Dept. Of ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli. The session was coordinated by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai from 09.30 AM- 12.30 PM on 17.04.2024. 43 students and one faculty member participated.

The program coordinator introduced and welcomed the guest speaker Dr.R.Prem Ananth, IIC Convenor, Assistant Professor/ Dept. Of ECE, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli. He started session with the introduction to entrepreneurship. He motivated the students to become an entrepreneur instead going for employment. He compared the advantages and disadvantages of employment and entrepreneurship. He posted the questions to students related to pitching. Few students answered questions. He then explained the concept of pitching. He also presented the importance of pitching and how elevation pitching would be normally taken place in few minutes to the investors. He highlighted 10 important points regarding pitching.Include the Correct Information, Consider your Investor, Tell a Story(shortly), Include contact information, Create pitches for multiple occasions, Practice, Be confident, Be Respectful, Follow up and Revise

He Quoted “MISTAKE + CORRECTION = LEARNING”

The 2 persons Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning who pitched the business tesla car innovative idea to Elon musk. The guest quoted that it was an impressive pitching. The session concluded with feedback and vote of thanks. It was an interactive session.
