On May 11th and 12th, 2023, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Institution Innovation Cell (IIC), in association with the Department of MBA, organized a “Presentation of Business Plan and Mentoring”. The session took place at the MBA Seminar Hall from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both the days. 59 first-year MBA students presented their business plans. The experts from management department evaluated the business plans presented by the students. The program was coordinated by Mrs. P.Selvakumar, EDC Coordinator and Assistant Professor of MBA at Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The students were presented their Business Plan to the experts from the management field. While presenting the business plan students were asked to highlight the market feasibility, financial feasibility, economic feasibility of the proposed business plan. Enthusiastically students presented their business plan and defended the feasibility of their proposal. The expert opinions were given to the presenters and it was well taken by the participants. While mentoring the participants the experts also gave lot of examples to support their comments.

Some of the participants have not included some of the important aspects like the market feasibility and financial feasibility for the proposed business plan they were guided properly and were asked to resubmit the proposal on the second day. In some of the presentations the competitive analysis mentioned in the business plan was not appropriate which was finetuned to make it correct. Some of the business plans were very much innovative and which can be taken to the next level and those participants were asked to present the same to the Angel investors for mobilizing investment for their proposed business.

The experts shared their expertise, experiences, and insights, inspiring the participants to think creatively, adapt to changing market dynamics, and harness emerging opportunities. The students greatly appreciated the expertise shared by the mentors, recognizing the value of their input in transforming their ideas into viable and scalable ventures. It was really an eye opening session for all the students.
