On 06.12.2023 a Guest Lecture on "Process of Innovation and Technology Rediness Level” was organised by Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Computer Application. The session was handled by Dr.R.Prem Ananth ,IIC Convenor, Asst.Professor of Dept.of ECE at FrancisXavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli from 9.30 AM - 12.00 PM. 48 students and 1 faculity participated in the program. This event was coordinated by Mrs.M.K.Subbulakshmi AP/MCA.
The resource person spoke about the process of Innovation and Technology Readiness Level (TRL). He highlighted the gradual advancement and assessment stages that innovations undergo, emphasizing the importance of gauging a technology's readiness for practical implementation. The speaker elaborated on how TRL measures the maturity of a technology, from its conceptualization in a laboratory to its potential adoption in the market, without specifying particular milestones. The talk provided an overview of the framework's significance in guiding research and development efforts towards successful technological innovations
The speaker gave several examples regarding the Process of Innovation and Technology Readiness Level (TRL). He elucidated this by providing examples, illustrating how certain innovations have not only introduced new ideas but have also made a substantial impact on industries or society as a whole. This amalgamation of invention and significant impact, according to the lecture, characterizes breakthrough innovation, underscoring its transformative nature in various spheres
The session addressing the encouragement of students toward tech startups proved to be an invaluable and motivating experience.
