On 10.11.2022 Entrepreneurship Development Cell of IT department in association with IIC organized an Expert Talk on “Government Schemes for Starting a Business”. The session was handled by Mr.Karthick.V, Managing Director, LoGin Group. This program was organized for III year B.Tech students. Dr.Gandhimathi, EDC Coordinator of IT department coordinated the program. 54 students and 1 staff participated in the session.
The resource person explained the need for promoting entrepreneurship and why the engineering students must enter entrepreneurship. He highlighted some of the government schemes which supports the entrepreneurs such as PMEGP, UYEGP, NEEDS, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. He highlighted the advantages of the various government schemes. In addition to this he gave information about the subsidies under each scheme. The resource person explained how to make use of the various government support to the entrepreneurs. He also inspired the students with motivating stories. The session was an interactive one where the students were very participative and clarified their doubts. There are students with motivation who become successful student entrepreneurs.
