Session on Government Initiatives to Develop Start-ups

On 25rd June, 2022 a “Session on Government Initiatives to develop Start-ups” was organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at 12:00 pm to 01.00 pm. Dr.K.Vinukumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, FXEC was the resource person. The program was held via online mode. Dr.R.K.A.Bhalaji, AP/Mech inaugurated the workshop with welcome address.

The resource person explained the need for developing startup and why the Engineering students must involve in creating startup. While explaining the startups he underlined the institutional support provided by the government through different government agencies. He mentioned the various schemes like NEEDS, Startup India, StartupTN. He also gave examples for the startups developed with the support of Indian Government funding support such as One97(Paytm), Ola Cabs, OYO, Renew Power, Swiggy, BYJU's, Bigbasket, Delhivery etc. 30 students and 1 staff member participated in the program and benefitted a lot regarding startup and the funding support provided by the government for developing the startups.
