On 20.1.2025 a session on "Session on Innovative Product Development Process” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by Mrs.S.Poornam AP/AI&DS, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Fifty students from third year AI&DS and one faculty of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS from 1.30PM – 4.30PM.
The program started with the introduction of Mrs.S.Poornam AP/AI&DS, Francis Xavier Engineering College. by Mrs.P. Sooriabrabha. During this session the guest speaker discussed about the Innovative Product Development Process and she provided the valuable insights about creating and refining ground breaking innovative products. It emphasized the importance of a user-centric approach, highlighting steps such as ideation, prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement. The process encourages collaboration across teams, leveraging diverse perspectives to fuel creativity and innovation. Participants learned how to identify market gaps, incorporate emerging technologies, and align product features with customer needs. Real-world case studies demonstrated successful strategies for rapid development and launch, while fostering adaptability in dynamic markets. The session on Innovative Product Development Process guided AIDS students in creating user-focused solutions through ideation, prototyping, and iterative testing. It highlighted strategies for addressing real-world challenges and leveraging technology for impactful innovation. The session empowered students to develop practical skills for meaningful contributions to society. Overall, the session underscored innovation as a strategic tool for competitive advantage. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
