SESSION ON PROBLEM SOLVING AND IDEATION WORKSHOP

On 14.9.2023 a session on “Problem Solving and Ideation workshop” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by Mrs. M. Thana Lakshmi AP/MBA, FXEC. 45 students from second year AI&DS and 1 faculty of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was Coordinated by Mrs P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant professor, Department of AI&DS from 9.00AM –4.00PM.

The program started with the introduction of guest speaker Mrs.M.Thana Lakshmi AP/MBA, FXEC by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha Assistant professor Department of AI&DS. The resource person discussed about problem solving and ideation techniques. Moreover, the explanations were given on different problem-solving models, including the scientific method, design thinking and root cause analysis. She explained the creative thinking techniques, such as brainstorming and mind mapping. Hands-on exercises to apply ideation techniques to specific challenges were also discussed with lot of live examples.

The resource person explained how the problem-solving techniques can be implemented to find a solution. Students attended the program raised few questions to solve some of the existing problems. All the queries were answered by the resource person with suitable examples. The session was an interactive one wherein all the participants gained the knowledge and understand the concept of problem solving and ideation. At the end of the session feedback was collected from the students.
