On 28.04.2023 a session on Sharing of Entrepreneurial Experience - " Scented Candle Manufacturing" was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of MBA. The session was handled by Ms.G.Sharu Lekha, I MBA, Student, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 58 students from first year MBA and 1 faculty of MBA department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mr. P. Selvakumar, EDC Coordinator, Assistant professor - MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College from 9.30AM - 12.30 PM.
Ms.Sharu Lekha, the student entrepreneur from MBA department owns a brand called the "WAXFLICKS" a dessert and food themed candle business. She began the session on how she came up with this innovative idea and also gave a brief about her startup. A detailed explanation was given about the candle making process and her marketing, location and pricing strategy.
The session was a welcoming one for the students as it was a booster to become an entrepreneur. She shared her three golden rules that made her withstand and succeed in her business which helped the students to set goals according to their personal interest. The speaker gave her views on how to aim high and be consistent in whatever we do. It was really an eye opening session for all the students.
