On 09.12.2024 a session on "Student Entrepreneurship: Essential Soft Skills for Entrepreneurs” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&ML. This session was handled by Ms.M.Keerthana, Assistant Professor of English(CSE), Francis Xavier Engineering College. Forty seven students from first year AI&ML and one faculty of AI&ML department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.P.Sujitha, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&ML from 1.35 PM – 04.20PM.
The program started with the introduction of guest speaker by Mrs.P.Sujitha. During this session the guest speaker explained the concept of entrepreneurship and the importance of the same to sustain the business successfully. The guest speaker said that the creativity and innovation are the key element of entrepreneurial success because it allows to think creatively and solve problems in new ways. It’s about taking fresh ideas or improving existing ones to create products or services that people need. The focus on creativity and innovation helps to stand out from the competition and meet customer demands more effectively. It can be as simple as finding a better way to deliver a service or designing a product that solves a common problem.
The entrepreneurship is thriving, with innovations transforming industries across the globe. While technical expertise forms the foundation of success, the importance of soft skills in navigating challenges, fostering innovation, and building impactful ventures cannot be overstated. This seminar exposed the soft skills required for the entrepreneurs to thrive in this dynamic and competitive domain. The students interacted with the guest speaker and gathered lot of information. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
