On 4.12.2024 a session on " The Role of Emerging Technologies in Digital Transformation” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of CSE. This session was handled by Ms.Padma Sundari ARVR Lab in-charge and AP/CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Fifty students from first-year CSE and one faculty of CSE Department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE from 10.00AM – 12.00PM.

The program started with the introduction of a guest speaker by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah. During this session, the guest speaker explained the concept of Digital Transformation by the Emerging Technologies. The guest speaker said that opportunities in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain. We can access free or affordable development tools, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and open-source platforms. The focus is on Technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks, enabling businesses to focus on innovation and strategic growth. Then, the use of Big Data Analytics and Machine Learning provides actionable insights by processing large datasets, allowing organisations to make informed, real-time decisions. The inevitable AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, and personalised recommendations improve customer engagement and satisfaction. Blockchain ensures secure, transparent, and tamper-proof transactions, which is critical in industries like finance, supply chain, and healthcare. Cloud Computing provides scalable infrastructure, allowing businesses to adapt to changing demands and innovate without significant upfront investments. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, and opportunities and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
