On 21st June 2022 FX Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized guest lecture on the topic “The Role of Start-up Ecosystem Enablers to Develop Start-up”. Dr.R.Suman Associate Professor / S&H -FXEC delivered the Guest Lecture.
The guest speaker explained the meaning of startup and why startup needs to be promoted especially among the engineering students. He highlighted the involvement of students in innovation and product development and how the product developed by the students can be converted into startup. He stressed the need for creating the startup ecosystem in the higher educational institutions. He also spoke about how the higher educational institutions can support the startup initiatives of the students and the infrastructural facilities to be provided to encourage the students to involve in the startup activities.
He also said that the startup enabler is any entity that can facilitate growth of the Start-up Ecosystem through means of Investment, Mentorship, Connections, and Market Access etc. He said that, any ecosystem that supports the development of startups through multiple interventions, ranging from infrastructure to business connects, will ensure that opportunities of Industry 4.0 are effectively exploited, thereby ensuring economic growth and prosperity.
This event was conducted by offline mode and 41 EEE students and 2 faculty members participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Ms.M.Krithika AP/EEE and Mr.N.V.Selvam, AP/EEE. Students interacted freely with the guest speaker and all the participants benefited through the program.
