Workshop on Building IOT Applications

FXEC the Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a workshop on the topic “Building IoT Applications” on 28-03-2023 under the activity code ACT/22-23/01342 . Ms. Deepa, Software Engineer, Bevywise Networks & Ms. Hema, Business Development Head, Bevywise Networks was the resource person. Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, welcomed and introduced the resource person. The resource persons taught about IoT with the demo and explained about various frameworks and applications. The usage of IoT in various domains was also explained by them. The resource persons told that 41 percentage IoT product used in HealthCare domain, 33 percentage IoT product used in Manufacturing domain, 7 percentage used in electricity domain, 4 percentage used in urban infrastructure, 4 percent used in security, 4 percentage used in resource extraction, 4 percentage used in agriculture, 1 percentage in retail and 2 percentage in vehicle. They also told the importance of IoT and explained about their company's contribution towards IoT. They also explained about the gateway to servers such as MQTP protocol, COAP, HTTP and TCP.
