Workshop on Prototype / Process Design and Development

On 24.03.2023 a workshop on “Prototype / Process Design and Development” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from 09:30 AM to 04.00 PM. The resource person of the session was, Ms.M.Dharshini, III Year, Department of CSE, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 52 students from second year CSE department and 2 faculties participated in the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs.M.Bagya Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Francis Xavier Engineering College.

The speaker is a student of the III year CSE department and the winner of the Startup TN event and the beneficiary of the Innovation Voucher Program (IVP). The speaker being the product developer and IVP awardee she inspired the students about the development of prototype with the help of the innovative product ideas. She also highlighted the funding support available for the development of the prototype and the commercial product. She also gave few examples to show the innovative product ideas. While interacting with the students she requested all the students to involve in the identification of innovative product ideas and the sources the students can make use of for the development of innovative product ideas. Moreover, she explained the government support available for the development of prototype and startups.

Further, the resource person shared the details about the Udhayam Registration process and the importance of Innovation Voucher Program. Then she discussed the detailed explanation of getting funds from the government under various schemes. The resource person asked the participants to present few innovative ideas and she explained the process of developing the prototype for the same using the appropriate technologies. Then she discussed the importance of protecting the innovative ideas and the prototypes developed by the students.
