Workshop on The Power of Java

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted a workshop titled “The Power of Java” in collaboration with Oracle Academy for the benefit of final year CSE students.

The session highlighted the significance and evolution of Java, its key features, and the latest enhancements in Java programming. Core concepts such as Database Connectivity (JDBC), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and Java syntax structure were explained in depth. The workshop also covered Java’s platform independence, security features, and popular Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA. The resource person for the session was Dr. G. Aravind Swaminathan, Oracle Academy Instructor, who delivered an insightful and engaging session. The students actively participated and gained valuable knowledge from the workshop. As part of this initiative, certificates from Oracle Academy were awarded to students who successfully completed the Java Foundations course.
