Workshop on the Stages of Innovative Product Development for Young Engineers

On 16th May 2023, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Civil Engineering organized a session on “Workshop on the stages of innovative product development for young engineers” under the activity code ACT/22-23/01526. The resource person for the program was Mr.A.Sumil Kumaran, AP/Civil, FXEC. A total of 40 I year civil engineering students participated in the program. The session was coordinated by Mrs. P. Raja Priya, AP/Civil, FXEC.

The resource person explained the product design and planning, product positioning and positioning strategies and also explained how to convert ideas and designs to innovate things and using the innovation to prepare a prototype which in turn can be used for the commercialization of the product and to become a successful entrepreneur. He gave his own life experience and made the students think, innovate and create new ideas for their life career. He listed the techniques involved in the product design and helped them to develop the product. The resource person enumerated what is Product Design and Development with an Entrepreneurship perspective and highlighted the scope of product design and major stages in the new product design with practical examples.
