Department of Research and Development, Francis Xavier engineering college, organised a guest lecture on “Intellectual Property Rights” for the faculties of SCAD group of Institutions on 19.10.2019 from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p. m at Francis Xavier engineering college. This lecture was delivered by Dr.A.Amarkarthik, Associate Professor & patent lawyer, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Sathyamangalam - 638 401, Erode.
Dr.A.Amarkarthik began the lecture with an explanation of the different types of Intellectual Property Rights. He also focused on the relation between Law and Marketing and through different examples, he explained the relevance and importance of the proper use of branding. During the lecture, faculties had the chance to discuss different concepts such as which is patentable and non patentable.
