Ms. PRIYADHARSHINI .P, Department of Information Technology, has been awarded BRONZE MEDAL in SENIOR GIRLS UNDER 67 Kg weight category in the Championships held from 30th August to 01st September 2024 at Indra Ganesan College of Engineering, IG valley, Manikandam, Tiruchirappalli - 620 012.

The Third year student Ms. Priyadharshini of IT department had won the silver medal in Senior Female category in Kyorugi event in the Championships held on 20-06-2024 at Mahatma Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Salem Tamil Nadu and gold medal in Poomsae event under 29 girls category at SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium Thoothukudi in District Level Taekwondo Championships 2024 held on 14-07-2024. Also she won gold medal in Kyorugi event in SEN-GIRLS (U-67KG) at Thoothukudi.

Sahaya Reffina M (95072015035) and Subha G (95072015045), both fourth-year students from the Department of Information Technology, received the Best Paper Presentation Award at ICACCT'24 (4th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Technology) held on February 23, 2024, at Francis Xavier Engineering College.

V. Sasikala, a second-year student from the Department of Information Technology, won the third prize in a paper presentation competition at a national-level technical symposium conducted by PSR Engineering College.

Ms. PRIYADHARSHINI .P of TUTICORIN, has been awarded BRONZE MEDAL in JUNIOR GIRLS - UNDER 68kg weight category in the Championships held from 21st to 22nd January 2023 at SDAT Indoor Stadium, Dindigul District.

On 3rd April 2023, a group of 40 third-year IT students accompanied by four faculties visited the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) in Tiruvandaram as part of an industrial visit.

The objective of this visit was to provide the students with a practical understanding of the advanced computing technology and its applications in the industry.

On April 28th and 29th of this 2023, IT Staff conducted the 3rd International Conference ICACCT 23 in the venue Board Room, Library in Francis Xavier Engineering College.

On April 18th of this 2023, IT students and IT Staff are conducted a National Level Technical Symposium INVICTA’23in the venue APJ Auditorium in Francis Xavier Engineering College

Appreciation meeting has been conducted for the Smart India Hackathon -2022 Finalist student Kala Devi G.B of third year IT which was held in Gujarat Technological University-Ahmadabad, Gujarat during 24th and 25th August 2022.

Mr.M.Mukunthan from I Year B.Tech(IT) had participated in “Business Analytics and Data Mining Championship 2019” held at NMIMS University, Mumbai on October 10-12,2019. He won BEST COMPETITOR AWARD in the competition.

P.Asuwini and Kavitha (III-IT) participated in "IET Major League Hackathon - South Asia 2020" held at VIT on 14.12.2019 & 15.12.2019. It is an international event, 24 hours hackathon sponsored by MICROSOFT.

Ms.P. Asuwini and Ms.R. Kavitha of III yr IT participated in national level hackathon held at Vellore Institute of Technology and developed solutions for on the spot challenge in data science.

Ms.Pradeepa, Ms.Sheik abdulla, Ms.Sneka nayaki, Ms. Sujithra,Ms.Aishwarya, Ms.Vimala, Ms. Jeevitha, Ms.Sargeetha, Periyasamy of I IT participated in Binary flow project competition organized by Indian Institute of Information Technology (II IT), Gwalior, Madhya pradesh on 23.01.2020.

Mr.Tamilarasan and Mr.Sathish kumar presented a technical paper in Data science in a national level symposium GYAN MITRA held at Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi on 25.01.2020.

From data science lab, P. Asuwini and R. Kavitha of III yr IT won I & II prizes respectively in Tamilnadu skill competition at District level for the skill "IT software solutions for business" held at Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli on 29-01-2020. They are qualified for state level skill competition.

Mr.Mukunthan (I-IT) received special contestant appreciation in a National level hackathon i-Hack, held at Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai on 31.01.2020 and 01.02.2020.

Two o data science products had been selected for IEEE International Project Contest, Grand Finale held at Stamford International University,Thailand on 7th and 8th September- 2019. In that contest, Ms.D.Evans Euniceyah Purnima(IV-IT) and R.Mathivanan(IV-IT) presented their project entitled “Accident Data Analysis using R”. Ms.P.Asuwini(III-IT) and Mr.B.Pradhap(II-IT) presented their project “Prediction of Crime Against Women in India”.

A team of students from III year IT - R.Sundarraj, R.Mathivanan, S. Evans Euniceah Purnima and G.Kowsalya developed a project model in Data Analytics and prepared a Business Plan for establishing Consultancy Services in Data Analytics at FXEC. This project was shortlisted in Top 10 proposals for final round in an International Level Business Plan Contest - "Chakravyuh 2019" held at Amrita School of Business, Kochi on 07-03-2019.

Mr.S.Muthu Vengadesh(III-IT) and Mr.S.Vishwakanth (III-IT) developed a product “Data Analytic Solutions to Improve Public Transport Access” under the mentorship of Dr.A.Anitha, Prof/IT. They bagged WINNERS TROPHY along with cash award and Medals for winning International Project contest in “Chennai International Youth Festival“ organized by Ministry for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship , Government of India in association with IEEE.

From Data science lab, Ms.P.Vimala, S.Ms.Pradeepa, Ms.A.Sargeetha, Ms.M.Sujithra, Mr.Sheik Abdulla and Mr.I.Xavier Antony Amilden of I year B.Tech(IT) have cleared Prelims and came in Top 30 FINALISTS across India.
