An IEEE Student Branch provides opportunities to meet and learn from fellow IEEE Student and Graduate Student Members and engage with professional IEEE members locally. IEEE Students is part of the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The department of ECE has its own IEEE student chapter branch. A number of academic activities are carried out under this association. Paper presentation, quiz contests, conferences etc are being conducted under this wing. This provides a platform for students to interact with other outside students sharing similar interests in academics, for inter-department initiatives and sharing of knowledge.
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is the largest multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers, established in 1920 with its Headquarters located in Kolkata and incorporated under Royal Charter on 9th September, 1935 by the then His Majesty of King George V. The Royal Charter endowed the Institution with the responsibility to promote the general advancement of engineering amongst its members and persons attached to the Institution. After Independence, the Institution is a “Body Corporate” protected under Article 372 of the Constitution of India. The Institution of Engineers (India) is administered by a National Council with the President as its Head.
Computer Society of India is a body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. It has 72 chapters across India, 511 student branches, and 100,000 members. The department is having CSI Institutional membership and also having CSI Student Branch.

ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society.
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System.
The department has an assoociation including allthe students, through which regular inter and intra department activities are conducted which bring out the technical best in students. Symposium, Project Expo, Paper Presentation, Quiz competition, Circuit Debugging, Matlab Debugging, Guest Lectures, FDPs etc are some of them.
