Design and Analysis Lab
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has established the "Design and Analysis" applied lab to help students develop their design, analysis, and product development skills, as well as provide hands-on experience and prepare for a career in the industry. The design and analysis applied lab is overseen by Dr.M.Kannan, Professor, Mechanical. He recognises each student's unique abilities and assists them in achieving their educational objectives.
The lab is focused on developing skills and concepts central to the successful use of the technology. Realizing that Computer aided Design and analysis is emerging field and most of the industries are going towards it, the department started the training program on design & analysis. The highlights of the training courses from this design and Analysis centre are as follows:

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) Lab
- To motivate the students to enhance their skills in UAV design and operations.
- Support students for designing and fabrication of fixed wing and multicopter UAVs including drones for various applications.
